John Mick and myself on a perfect weekend at Dungog Pedal fest, two great campfires and three testing rides into through some magic scenery, Mick thought he was back in Ireland it is so green. John enjoyed sitting around the camp fire a welcome change from being in a pub. Give it a go next year.

Thanks, I was going to mention them, John, but forgot.
Do you think they interfere with your situational awareness? I mean, a bit distracting.
I bet many cyclists have had similar thoughts on that hill:)

Speaking of cattle, I remember a short sharp uphill section around there known as “Linger and Die Hill”, which referred to the fate of the cattle if they didn’t keep a steady pace up the hill when pulling the logging carts etc.
