This is classed as an ‘easy ride’, but you still need to be on your toes!

The route will start at Bar Italia, Norton St Leichhardt, and go through shared pathways in Rozelle and Glebe and Darling Harbour

Even though you may be an experienced cyclist, a lot has happened on this route to make it interesting, and the combination of foot traffic (prams, joggers, strollers, dog walkers) means you have to be both patient and alert.

There are a number of sights on the way. The waterfront at Glebe, the wharfs at Darling Harbour, the Endeavour moored at the Maritime Museum. We go past the new Packer house of cards, before crossing the stunning Sydney Harbour Bridge.

A few short sharp hills take us to Balls Head reserve. At the entrance to the reserve is an eco and recylcing centre, the Coal Loader. There is also a coffee shop nearby, and in the reserve is a stunning lookout.

Going back will be a bit shorter, we will take the Kent St cycleway and the Pyrmont and Anzac bridges. The only delay will be the bizarre traffic lights which seem to take forever.

Should be good fun, a pleasant morning out and a chance to stretch your legs.
